Sword Talk Terms of Service

By using the SwordTalk.com, you agree to these Terms of Service.

* The ability to create and post messages to the SwordTalk.com Forums requires that you register by providing a functional email address and creating a screen name. This screen name will appear to anyone browsing the Forums as part of any messages that you post. The screen name may also appear in a list of users currently or recently online, and in lists of other types of Forum participation.
* Registered users may be denied the ability to post messages if Prohibited Conduct (see below) is exhibited. SwordTalk.com reserves the right to deny individual Forum users permission to post messages, temporarily or permanently, in order to maintain operation of the Forums for their intended purpose, as described in the SwordTalk.com Forums Guidelines.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not use the Forums.

Description and Purpose of SwordTalk.com

The SwordTalk.com Forums are a set of discussion boards provided to the public as a platform for sharing tips, ideas and information on swords, history, military.

User Submitted Content

SwordTalk.com does not control or guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of content posted on the Forums. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any content, or for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography, or profanity you may encounter. All content posted by users, including any opinions, advice or recommendations expressed, are those of the users providing such content and not those of SwordTalk.com. We do not endorse any content or any opinion, recommendation or advice.

Prohibited Conduct

SwordTalk.com shall have the right (but not the obligation) in its sole discretion to monitor, refuse or remove any content for any or no reason, including that any content violates these Terms of Service or is otherwise objectionable. The following types of conduct are prohibited and, if exhibited through postings on the Forums, SwordTalk.com may exercise its enforcement rights (see below):

1. Vulgar, obscene, hateful, abusive, political or religious content
2. Disclosure of private information or content that is not your own or that you do not have the right to provide to the public, such as:
1. personal phone numbers, addresses or other contact information that is not your own
2. private information such as social security numbers
3. copyrighted content or trade secrets
3. Legal threats against SwordTalk.com or competitors
4. Off-topic content not relevant to community purpose
5. Advertising, promotion or solicitation of third party products, services or organizations, including chain letters, class action lawsuits, charitable appeals
6. Content or links to content that contains contaminating or destructive features that may damage someone else's computer
7. Duplicate or excessively repeated submissions in one or more areas
8. Content designed to evade profanity or other filters
9. Content used to impersonate another person
10. Content or behavior that violates any applicable laws
11. Content or behavior that interferes with the operation of the site or with another member's ability to use the site
12. Evading site controls such as bans, or otherwise disregarding the directions of the site moderators or administrators
13. Hyperlinks to sites that violate the Terms of Service
14. Affiliate links are not allowed

Enforcement

Engagement in Prohibited Conduct may result in SwordTalk.com, in its sole discretion, taking one or more of the following enforcement actions:

* removal of content
* editing submissions to remove content that violates these Terms of Service
* restricting or otherwise limiting accounts
* banning accounts
* any other action deemed appropriate by SwordTalk.com

Anonymous Use of Forums

Registration is not required in order to read and search Forum messages. You may browse the Forums anonymously. Attempts to create new messages or to reply to existing messages will result in being linked to a login page, at which time you may register in order to post messages.

Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that you bear all risks associated with using or relying on the content posted on the Forums. SwordTalk.com will not be liable or responsible in any way for any content in the Forums, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in the content, or for any losses or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of or reliance on any content.
